This is according to the Free State police spokesperson, Peter Kareli, who earlier revealed that the 51-year-old wife of the deceased has been positively linked to the murder of her husband.
OFM News earlier reported that police yesterday said they were on the lookout for two unknown suspects following Monday night’s attack on Mokoena, which resulted in the theft of his motor vehicle. The deceased was killed shortly after arriving at his residential place in Schnehage Crescent on Monday at 21:35.
The deceased allegedly found his wife in the main bedroom and went on to the bathroom where he found two armed men. A scuffle ensued and he was dragged back to the bedroom where he was shot in the head in the presence of his wife. The suspects left the scene with the deceased’s vehicle, an undisclosed amount of money and cell phones. The vehicle was later found abandoned in Lourier Park. Further intense investigations led to the arrest of the deceased’s wife and police say she will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court soon for conspiracy to murder.
