Planned power interruption in Mandela View

Residents of Mandela View are advised to prepare for a planned power supply interruption as Centlec carries out maintenance and electricity network upgrades.

The scheduled interruption will take place from 9:00 to 16:00 on Thursday 23 July, with 30 July as an alternative date should the work be postponed.

According to Centlec, the work will include cutting and pruning of trees overlapping the overhead line servitude, as well as replacing defective overhead line hardware to improve the reliability of the electricity network.

“The power may be restored without warning at any time during the shutdown period, and all installations must be treated as Live and Dangerous,” the utility said.
