Planned power interruption in Olive Hill

Centlec has notified residents of Olive Hill of a planned power interruption due to maintenance and upgrade work on the electricity network.

The utility said the maintenance is scheduled to take place from 09:00 to 16:00 tomorrow (27/05), with an alternate date set for 09:00 to 16:00 for 3 June.

According to Centlec, the shutdown is necessary for the cutting and pruning of trees trespassing on overhead line servitudes, as well as replacement of defective overhead line hardware to upgrade network reliability.
The utility said power may be reinstated without alert during the shutdown period, so residents are urged to treat all installations as live and hazardous.

“The shutdown is necessary for construction and/or maintenance upgrades on the network,” Centlec said.
