Three suspects were fatally wounded during an alleged farm attack on the Boskoppie farm in the Kroonstad district yesterday morning (11 February 2021).
The incident took place at around 07:20 when the 37-year-old complainant, Mr André Swart, was attacked when he opened the door of his house.
Police spokesperson, Brigadier Motantsi Makhele, said the suspects tried to overpower Swart and stabbed him in the neck and on the head.
“Swart managed to get hold of his firearm and fired several shots. Three suspects were fatally wounded and another managed to flee the scene,” said Makhele.
Swart, who stays alone on the farm was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
