St Andrew’s partners with NPOs to provide bicycles for vulnerable learners

The St Andrew’s School headmaster, Roland Rudd, has made a call to the school community to assist with donations of bicycles towards their partnership with Meals on Wheels and Our Shoes.

According to Rudd, the school would like to provide learners in communities who have no transportation to school. They hope to donate a minimum of 10 bicycles towards the initiative.

Additionally, Our Shoes will donate shoes to the communities Meals on Wheels are set to visit during their annual cycle tour. “We will also gladly accept any non-perishable food that we will pass on to Meals on Wheels to supplement the care packages they put together. Please use this opportunity to clear out any unused bicycles or bicycles your sons have outgrown. Please drop them off on Wednesday (10/12) when you collect your son’s report card,” Rudd added.

Meals on Wheels will have the bicycles serviced and repaired, for distribution throughout the towns.
