FS ANC sticks behind Magashule

REFILWE MEKOA

The ANC in the Free State says it wants Ace Magashule to continue leading the province as premier.

According to ANC spokesperson Thabo Meeko, they are satisfied with what Magashule is doing in government for the province. The ANC submitted its list of candidates for provincial legislatures and Parliament to the Electoral Commission of SA (IEC) yesterday.

“We are not only preaching democracy in terms of how do we want our country to be but that democracy is within the internal structures of the African National Congress. That leadership collective was selected through a rigorous process, which in our understanding is through the eye of the needle. Our belief is that the selected leadership collective are men and women who are equal to the task to advance the policy position of the ANC in government,” he says.

Meeko says the province’s top five besides Magashule are MECs of Social Development Sisi Ntombela, Agriculture Mamiki Qabathe, Education Tate Makgoe and Tourism Msebenzi Zwane.
