The Central University of Technology (CUT) Ladies Hockey Team proudly represented the university at the 2026 USSA Hockey Tournament, held at Stellenbosch University from 29 June to 3 July.
Competing in the highly competitive B Section against eight other universities, the 17-player squad delivered a determined performance under the guidance of head coach Tarrin Ramsden.
CUT played five matches, securing three victories and demonstrating resilience, teamwork and determination throughout the tournament. The team finished fifth in the B Section, gaining valuable experience against some of the country’s top university hockey teams.
“Despite falling short of their ultimate goal, the tournament highlighted the squad’s growth, competitive spirit and commitment to representing CUT with pride,” the institution said.
