Guardian and Angel appeals for urgent electricity support

Guardian and Angel is calling on the Bloemfontein community to support its efforts to care for vulnerable residents, with electricity currently one of the organisation’s most urgent needs.

According to CEO Hester Bekker, the organisation provides assistance to a large number of people in need across Bloemfontein, offering food, clothing, blankets, and support to homeless and vulnerable individuals.

“During winter, the biggest challenge is to provide a place of safety and warm food to homeless people,” said Bekker.

While Guardian and Angel is currently running a blanket drive with the goal of collecting 500 blankets, as well as a drive for warm clothing, shoes, and tekkies, electricity remains a critical requirement to keep its operations running and ensure those seeking shelter have access to warmth and basic services.

The organisation is appealing to businesses, community members, and potential donors to assist with electricity costs, as well as donations of blankets, warm clothing, and footwear.
“Let your hopes blossom, even in the frost,” said Bekker.
