Duane Petrus – A 27-year-old man will appear in the Bloemfontein magistrate’s court tomorrow after he was arrested inside a hijacked vehicle in the city yesterday.
Police spokesperson, Chaka Marope, says the suspect and his accomplice approached a 27-year-old Polo driver with a firearm near Cubana in Second Avenue and instructed him to exit the car.
He says a police patrol vehicle later pursued the suspect and the car was recovered near Pelonomi hospital. The suspect was still in the car and taken in to custody.
His accomplice, who was driving a blue BMW, is still at large.
