Duane Petrus – The streets of Bloemfontein are expected to be very busy with the Mangaung Arts and Culture Festival’s (Macufe) main show taking place tonight.
Free State police spokesperson, Chaka Marope, said there have so far not been any incidents of crime related to Macufe.
He did say though, that they are expecting a very busy weekend and will place emphasis on crimes which are known to be prevalent during the festival.
Crimes that they will be focusing on include drinking in public, incidents of public indecency, theft out of motor vehicles and street robberies. International artists Earl Klugh, Chantay Savage and Chrisette Michele will grace the stage this evening.
Local acts will include Ringo Madlingozi, Thandiswa Mazwai, Jonas Gwangwa and Mafikizolo.
