Bloemfontein – Free State Cheetahs coach Naka Drotské has praised his team for their fine defensive effort after their 40-20 win against a determined Griquas outfit in Bloemfontein.
The Cheetahs ran in five tries to against their Northern Cape neighbours to claim a vital bonus point.
The bonus point means the Cheetahs are the only team to have picked an extra point the each match of the four rounds thus far, which in effect has handed them another victory and sees the Free Staters occupy the second spot on the Currie Cup log.
Drotské feels they are back on track after their resounding win on Saturday.
The Free State Cheetahs next face the bottom-of-the-log Blue Bulls at Loftus Versfeld Saturday.
