Suspect arrested for alleged dagga dealing

A 25-year-old suspect was arrested on Friday 16 September 2022 by the Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation team, along with the Tactical Response Team (TRT), which are both based in Bloemfontein.

According to the spokesperson of the Hawks in the Free State, Christopher Singo, the police conducted a joint disruptive operation. “The operation was conducted in Bloemfontein’s Willows area, where they visited an apartment where cannabis products are allegedly processed and sold to students.”

“During the search of the premises, dagga, space cookies, jelly sweets, and a scale were discovered. All the recovered products, including the undisclosed amount of money, were seized,” said Singo.

The suspect is expected to appear in court soon.
