The Police in Odendaalsrus are investigating two murder cases after two men were murdered in Kutloanong. A Manhunt has been launched to trace the suspects and residents are requested to assist. Both these murder suspects are still at large.
In the first incident, on the 1st January 2014 at about 06:00 a passer-by saw the body of a man lying in the field in Block 2 Kutloanong, Odendaalsrus and informed the Police. Upon arrival, the Police found a man with multiple stab wounds on the chest. A case of murder was registered in Odendaalsrus SAPS. The deceased was identified as Mr Tshepiso Dlamini, 30 years old. The motive of the killing is still unknown thus a thorough investigation continues.
In another incident, on Tuesday 23 September 2014 at about 19:25 a 20 year old victim was at his work place at the market in Mshengoville Block 5 in Kutloanong Odendaalsrus. Suddenly an unknown African man wearing a bandana and covering his face with a pantyhose approached him and demanded money. The victim handed the money to him and the man demanded more. When the victim could not provide him with more money, the man pulled out a firearm and shot the victim and fled the scene on foot. The victim Mr Tumelo Gamma was admitted at the hospital and later passed on.
