The newly found and one-of-a-kind Coffee & Clothing Pop-Up will not only keep you warm during the cold winter days but offers you a coffee date experience along with the option of buying a few clothing items.
Coffee & Clothing, which is still in its infant days, was founded by Margo Fargo, founder of Grinda Coffee and Fargo Straws together with Melisandé (Mel) Mulder. According to the duo, the concept originated from a few chats they had over the last couple of months to bring together the love of coffee with the social aspects of a coffee date.
The event will also offer a thrifting opportunity while you enjoy your cup of coffee. Mulder is well-known for the concept of getting the city to take part in the ‘Shifting to Thrifting’ trend and to enable all members of the community to experience shopping for unique items. “This enables members of the community to partake in what they feel looks good on them without having to overextend the budget. It also give individuals the opportunity to be creative and to develop unique trends that are not sold to us through a store window.”
According to Fargo and Mulder, the platform Coffee & Clothing gives more than the opportunity to buy exclusive clothing pieces and have a java. It also offers the opportunity to build a hub for fellow-enthusiasts and entrepreneurs to showcase and communicate what it is that they are good at or can offer.
This is only the start as more pup-ups, meet-ups and events can be expected from the duo, which is said to showcase the rich talent the community has to offer.
The Coffee & Clothing Pop-up will take place on 15 June 2021 at 18:30 at 45 Brill Street. Tickets are R150 and available on the Quicket platform under Coffee & Clothing.
