Four arrested after early morning cash-in-transit heist

Four suspects have been arrested and two vehicles were recovered after a early morning cash-in-transit heist that took place in different places around the Hamilton area in Bloemfontein this morning.
Details about the heist that apparently happened at between 05:15 and 05:30 this morning, is still sketchy.
At this stage it is still unsure how many robbers were involved in the heist and if anybody sustained any injuries. It is also not known if any money was taken. However, police confirmed to Bloemfontein Courant that there were no fatalities.
Several police officers are currently working the different crime scenes to put the pieces of the puzzle together in an attempt to ascertain what really transpired during the daring heist.

The police also confirmed to the Courant team on the scene that they are following up on various positive leads and gathering valuable evidence.
Residents of the various residential areas around the Hamilton business area told Courant that they were woken up by what sounded like machine gun shots early this morning.
The Oliver Thambo Road (N6) has been closed off to traffic, making it difficult for staff members of the businesses in the area to reach their place of work.
This is a developing story.
