First residence for UFS South Campus

The University of the Free State’s South Campus in Bloemfontein now has a student residence to accommodate 250 undergraduate and 20 postgraduate students.

According the University’s spokesperson, Lacea Loader, the residence is the first at the university to have a newly installed water system, which will be extended to other campuses.

This water system will enable water to be reused for toilet flushing as well as for irrigation purposes on the campus.

Students who will be selected for placement at this residence will be based among other things on whether the student is a full-time student.

The official opening of the residence is projected to take place early in 2017.
