The newly appointed Executive Mayor of the Mangaung Metro Municipality, Olly Mlamleli, says the newly elected members of the Mayoral Committee are committed to deliver quality services to the people of Mangaung, particularly in rural areas such as Van Stadensrus, Wepener, and Dewetsdorp south of Bloemfontein.
Mlamleli says people in local municipalities that are incorporated into the jurisdiction of the Mangaung Metro Municipality will be provided with quality services that were lacking previously.
Speaking at the announcement of members of the Mayoral Committee this afternoon, Mlamleli assures Mangaung residents of improved, speedy service delivery.
“We are fully aware of expectation of people from poor rural areas. We aim to improve the livelihood of people in the rural areas. These are the people who will be expecting this municipality to do things that will improve their lives. We can assure them that we will not bring them down” said Mlamleli.
