Stuart White of Bloemfontein, who turned 13 last week, will be raking up his flier miles once more as he prepares for yet another trip abroad.
This time, the karter from Grey College will be jetting off to France to burn some rubber in the IAME X30 World Cup from 15 to 19 October at the world famous Le Mans circuit.
The soft-spoken youngster will be participating in the X30 junior class, after gaining valuable experience in Belgium earlier this year.
From there they will pack their bags and head over the Alps to race in Lenato, in northern Italy. In Lenato he will partake in the Vortex Rox World Cup from 21 to 25 October. White will compete in the Votex Junior Rok class, a race he has competed in twice before.
Last year he earned the 8th place in 60cc Vortex Mini ROK Class. According to his family, it’s a track he just loves racing on and he’s looking forward to racing in the 125cc Junior Rok Class this time around.
The determined 13-year-old in his turn said he is up to the challenge in the class where the competitors are up to 16 years old.
Over the past weekend White concluded two national series. He finished 5th overall in the Rotax Max held at Zwartkops in Pretoria, and also clinched the third overall spot in the Vortex Junior Rok Class in Vereeniging.
It’s been a tough rookie year for White. He was also the only junior to compete in two classes. With the speedster being allowed to race in both classes for the next two years, he is determined to become the South African Champion again.
