It is said that talents are God’s gift to us and using them wisely is our gift to Him. The problem is that so many of us are not sure of what our talents are. Sometimes we might even feel too self-conscious to use them.
1 Pet 4 v 10: “As each of you has received a gift, employ it for one another…” (Amplified). Firstly we see that our gifts should be used to help and serve others. When we start focusing on other’s needs and want our lives become full of joy it can only come from being a servant.
Rom 12 v 6: “Having gifts that differ according to the grace given us, let us use them:” (Amplified). In Romans we see that our gifts are different and don’t have to be the same. Therefore we should be happy with the gifts we were given and not spend all day wishing we had someone else’s gifts.
1 Tim 4 v 14: “Do not neglect the gift which is in you, which was directly imparted to you…” (Amplified). What a wakeup call for us all! We can actually neglect our gifts. What happens when we neglect someone or something? Don’t allow your wonderful talents to go to waste, use them to honour the Father who gave them to you.
Blessings
