Businesses, organisations and residents across the city are joining in the commemoration of International Nurses Day 2026 (12/5), celebrated under the theme: “Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives.”
Led by the National Department of Health, this year’s theme highlights the importance of empowering nurses through improved working conditions and safer environments to strengthen their life-saving impact worldwide.
As the day is observed, local nurses are being honoured for their compassion and dedication commitment to caring for others. Their tireless efforts continue to save lives, support communities, and bring hope to countless families every day.
