TWO SUSPECTS ARRESTED FOR CARJACKING.

SAPS Flying Squad arrested two suspects, aged 24 and 22, after a carjacking that took place at the corner of Rembrandt and Adin Streets in Heidedal, Bloemfontein.

On Sunday, 25 August 2013, at about 04:30, the complainant was driving his vehicle when he noticed that the road was blocked by a red BMW and a black CITI Golf on the corner of Rembrandt and Adin Streets in Heidedal, Bloemfontein.

He stopped the car and decided to look around what was happening at the two vehicles that closed the road and suddenly saw an unknown man at the other side of his vehicle.

The unknown man pointed him with a firearm and told him to get out of the vehicle and he was instructed to sit at the back seat.

The other two men got into the vehicle and they drove with the complainant towards Bloemside area.

At the Dr Belcher street, the complainant decided to jump out of the vehicle and runaway as the suspect was driving slow.

The police in Heidedal sent the information through radio control for all the patrol vehicles to be on the lookout of the stolen vehicle.

Heidedal Flying Squad who were busy with their normal patrol duties spotted the stolen vehicle near Navalsig and the car was stopped and they found two suspects in the vehicle.

The two suspects were arrested for carjacking and they will appear in court soon.
The car was also recovered.

The police are still looking for one suspect and anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspect can contact Heidedal SAPS Detectives on 082 466 8387.

An appeal is made to all motorist to be very cautious for people pretending or posing to have car problems and need assistance on the road that actually wants to commit crime.
