Duane Petrus. – Eight suspects, thought to belong to a crime syndicate, will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court today on murder and business robbery charges.
Free State police spokesperson, Thabo Litabe, says police are on the brink of uncovering the syndicate. He says two of the eight were caught with a gun belonging to a security guard who was killed during a business robbery in Phase 4 last weekend. Six others were arrested soon thereafter.
Litabe says two vehicles believed to have been used in several similar cases were confiscated along with two firearms and eight cellphones.
