Humanitarian group, Gift of the Givers, has stepped in to assist in locating the Bloemfontein couple who was kidnapped in Yemen last month.
Pierre and Yolande Korkie are reportedly being held by Al-Qaeda militants in a village in Ibb province.
The organisation’s Imtiaz Sooliman says its project manager in Yemen has met with top leaders and security officials as well as South African diplomats in the region.
He says they want to get in touch with the Korkie’s relatives in South Africa as they get more information on the case in Yemen.
