Power restored to most Bayswater areas, Naval Park still without supply

Power has been restored to the majority of areas supplied by the Bayswater Distribution Centre (DC), following earlier outages.

Electricity provider Centlec confirmed that while most affected customers have regained supply, the Naval Park DC remains without power due to a battery failure.

“Our Medium Voltage electricians are currently on site and actively working to replace the faulty batteries as quickly and safely as possible,” the utility said.

Centlec added that updates on the estimated time of full restoration will be communicated as soon as further information becomes available.

Residents have been cautioned that power may be restored without prior notice and are advised to treat all electrical installations as live during this period.
