Police seek information after fatal R26 shooting

The Free State police have appealed to the public for information that could assist in the investigation into a fatal shooting incident that occurred on the R26 road between Tweeling and Reitz on Thursday (14/05).

According to Free State police spokesperson, Josephine Rani, the incident claimed the lives of four people, while a fifth victim sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital receiving medical treatment. “The deceased have been positively identified by their next of kin as Lekiba Likhetho (24), Rebone Moeketsi (26), Pule Latela (32), and Tshepang Cecilia Letsoha (27). All four deceased are Kingdom of Lesotho nationals,” said Rani.

She confirmed that no arrests have been made at this stage and that investigations are continuing.
