Yolisa Magibile recently wrote and published her own book, Word of Worth.
This 24-year-old is originally from Queenstown, but has been part of the Bloemfontein family for about two years. “I enjoy the freedom of expression, people with different beliefs and backgrounds that can come together and worship God despite their differences. I witnessed this at the It’s Time prayer gathering held by Angus Buchan,” she explained.
Magibile describes herself as an evangelist and a motivational speaker. “I am a medical scientist and an author,” she said.
This young woman has a passion and compassion for devising effective ways to help women, young and old, and to be on the cutting edge in every area of their lives. Her love for reading and writing started developing in the early stages of her life. “I remember walking to school every day and when I got tired, I would sit under a tree and read a dictionary. All I wanted to do was to increase my vocabulary and improve my English so that I would not feel embarrassed when I associated with students from multiracial schools in my area. Little did I know that reading would become a habit and eventually become an imprint of my love for writing,” she said.
This book is a woman’s aggressive use of the Word of God to uncover the truth. “A practical spiritual challenge, an exercise of faith, a warfare for a woman who wants to silence any word from the enemy,” Magibile described it.
Magibile mentioned that she did face a few difficulties when she wrote the book. “Typing the manuscript was probably the most difficult part when I wrote the book. Other than that I am grateful that God has been the Upper Hand and the He handled the difficulties. I can really say I didn’t have any,” she said.
She also faced quite a number of challenges when she had to have the book published. “Challenges for any pioneer are really defined, but my biggest challenge was not having access to young local writers who have walked this path to guide me and tell me what to do next and how to go about getting a publisher. Hence I ended up doing self-publishing,” she added.
The book is specifically written for that one lady or woman who is at her worst and about to give up on life.
