Premier Job Mokgoro’s spokesperson, Vuyisile Ngesi, confirms to OFM News that the MEC for Public Works and Roads, Saliva Molapisi, is back on duty after fully recovering from the virus.
Three MECs, including Molapisi, Virginia Tlhapi, and the late Gordon Kegakilwe, as well as Premier Mokgoro, contracted the virus a few weeks ago during the surge in the rate of Covid-19 infections in the province.
Ngesi also says Premier Mokgoro is out of hospital and back at his official residence. He is in good health.
Ngesi says Tlhapi is also recovering well and she has been participating in the business of government, making a meaningful contribution.
She was part of last week’s virtual meeting between government officials.
OFM News previously reported that Molapisi’s Media Liaison officer, Kgomotso Mmusi, who was a Covid-19 contact of Molapisi, is also recovering from the virus and no longer exhibits any symptoms of Covid-19.
Meanwhile, four of the North West premier’s support staff, including his spokesperson, have all tested negative for the coronavirus. Mokgoro’s spokesperson, Ngesi, and three other officials who worked closely with the premier, is still recovering in quarantine and were urged to test after coming into contact with him.
