The final leg of the Castle Lite Trail Series, presented by Bloemfontein Courant, will be taking place on Saturday morning, and a new route will be tackled by the runners.
The series moves to Be Human on the Middelwater Farm for the first time, and this will ensure an interesting race, while there will be plenty of entertainment on offer for those who are not running.
Be Human is located some 30 km outside of Bloemfontein on the R30 – Brandfort Road.
In addition to the exciting trail running on offer, there will also be live entertainment, should you decided to spend the day at the venue. Karooding will be performing from 11:00 to 14:00, while the hugely popular Jacobus Silwer will be on stage from 15:00 to 18:00.
For the kids, there are tractor rides and jungle gyms as well as an animal farm hotel.
Game drives will also be on offer at 9:00, 11:00 and 12:00, and the game to be viewed include cheetahs, leopard, lion, buffalo, hyena, giraffe, zebra, as well as a variety of antelope and many more. The game drives do come at a cost of R120 per person, while it is free for kids under the age of 12.
Registration for the 5-km and 10-km trail runs open at 7:00, and the race itself starts at 8:00. Entry fees: 5 km – R60, 10 km – R80. – MORGAN PIEK
