GALOOME SHOPANE A 19-year old woman has lost her mother and is recovering at Botshabelo hospital after two unknown men allegedly fired shots at them last night, at their home in Botshabelo outside Bloemfontein.
Police spokesperson Consolation Mokoale says they are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder after the 43-year old mother was pronounced dead by paramedics.
“It is alleged that they heard a knock and the mother went to investigate, while opening the door two men entered and shot the woman twice on the chest and the daughter on the left arm,” says Mokoale.
She says “the father and the siblings were in their bedrooms when the incident happened.”
Mokoale says the incident took place last night and the motive is still unknown.
