The Prestige Mathematics Prize-giving 2021 was conducted for the 11th time on Tuesday 30 November and learners from Kimberley, Winburg, Welkom, Senekal, Brandfort as well as most of the Bloemfontein schools attended to receive their awards.

The following persons were had a hand in the successful hosting of the Prestige Mathematics Prize-giving (PMP) 2021 that took place at Jim Fouché High School: Nelmari du Toit (manager of the Nautilus project), Anne-Mien Schoombie (general help), Jannecke Koekemoer (Jim Fouché HS), Frans Koning (UFS department of Mathematical Statistics and Actuarial Sciences), Christiaan Venter (treasurer of the Nautilus project and also head of the UFS department Mathematics and Applied Mathematics) and Elsie Schoombie, organiser of the PMP for the past 11 years, together with Dr Anelize van Biljon, who was absent. Koekemoer received a special award at the function for her exceptional service over many years to help and encourage students to take part in mathematics olympiads.
Grade 7 winners

Zecheng Shi, who received the fourth prize as well as the trophy for sustained achievement in mathematics olympiads in 2021, was absent.
