FS to be SA’s main chicken hub
The Free State Province will be established as South Africa’s main chicken hub.
According Premier Ace Magashule, it will result in major poultry hubs being established around the Lejweleputswa and Fezile Dabi Municipality Districts. This is one of the projects that Magashule highlighted during his state of the province address, last week in Qwaqwa.
He said security guards previously trained by government will be hired in various departments and 115 unemployed youth from rural areas will be trained as traffic officers. The Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) will create at least 58 505 opportunities.
Magashule emphasised that he has regarded all public complaints about the bucket eradication in Vredefort, electricity disruptions in Qwaqwa, the Motsepe Foundation scholarships misrepresentations and uncertainties faced by governmental contract employees. He also added on finalising scholarships in China and the need to service and sell sites in various areas for people who have the means to build their own houses.
