FS Department of health staff return to Bophelo House today

Staff members are set to return to work today after last week Tuesday’s (26/8) flooding at the Free State department of health’s head office, Bophelo House.

This comes after a visit by the Occupational Health and Safety Committee (OHSC) that determined the building is safe for occupancy last week Friday (29/8).

According to the department’s spokesperson, Mondli Mvambi, disruptive flooding (26/8) affected many areas of Bophelo House and due to the safety of staff, the head of department of Health, Ernest Motsamai Mohlahlo, suggested that officials work from home during the cleaning and restoration process.

Restoration teams from Transnet worked throughout the weekend to ensure that the building complies with safety and hygiene standards.
