The Free State Department of sport, arts, culture and recreation (DSACR) in partnership with the Free State Sport Confederation (FSSC) has made a call for nomination in the 2025/26 Free State sport awards. Nominations are open until 30 April 2026.
According to the department, the awards are designed to honour inspirational sporting achievements in the province. Nominations are open to athletes, administrators, volunteers and media from various regions in the province who have contributed to sport in local, nation and international sporting codes and events on and off the field.
“The awards carry various categories which recognized individuals, males, females, people with disabilities; continental participants, federations, schools, indigenous games, media and community sport builders,” the department said.
Nominees must have participated or performed from 01 July 2024 to 31 October 2025 to be eligible. Nominations must be submitted to [email protected] on or before 30 April 2026 at 00:00.
