Seasoned entertainer and master of ceremonies Nico Davids, who has been in the industry for more than 20 years, will soon be sharing his talent and love for the arts with the youth of Bloemfontein.
Davids kick-started his career back in 1987 when he joined the Heidram Amateur Group as an actor. He has since been gracing the masses with his skill and talent at a number of events around the city and the country. He is well-known around the Performing Arts Centre of the Free State’s (Pacofs), drama festivals and even soapies.
Known for his vibe, energy, personality and unique sense of humour, Davids is now ready to share his passion with members of the youth. “Growing your Talent”, a project that will soon be launched by Davids, is aimed at grooming young talent to become professional MCs. “I hope that the corporate world out there will give them a chance to grow, because without opportunity you can never grow,” said Davids.
He added that coming from a disadvantaged background he feels that talented youth in our cities are not given the right platform to prove themselves.
“I believe that there are many young people with talent who just need to be groomed. Especially the youth, they need to be kept busy with constructive things. I must say, without being given an opportunity, you will never know your potential.”
