EFF President expected on oversight visit in Bfn

The President of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Julius Malema, is expected to do an oversight visit on Thursday in Mangaung in the Free State. Malema will be inspecting sites that have reportedly suffered severe sewage spillages.

According to the national spokesperson of the EFF, Vuyani Pambo, the visit forms part of the intensive programme that will expose the lack of service delivery in various communities. Pambo says Malema is expected to start his inspection in Hartseer Street in Ward 1, in the Batho Location, at 12:00 and move to Hillcrest and Murrison Streets in Ward 16, Heidedal. He will thereafter visit Mallykaap in Ward 3 at Joe Slovo Square next to the Pelonomi Hospital, and conclude his oversite visit in Ward 11 at Turflaagte Square.

Bloemfontein Courant previously reported that residents of Mangaung continue to be plagued by sanitation issues. Botshabelo residents recently raised their frustration over a lack of service delivery by the municipality and inadequate conditions that they have been subjected to over the years.
