The Free State police have arrested a 29-year-old man for the alleged murder of his brother. It is reported that the two men had a violent altercation over an injured dog. According to Free State police spokesperson, Mmako Mophiring the incident occurred near a farm in Warden.
According to Mmako, “Harrismith police attended to a complaint of murder at a local hospital where two men were admitted from the Ha-Mafutha Farm district of Warden. They were fighting and both got injured in the process.”
She further pointed out that the deceased person was stabbed with a sharp object by his brother during the fight.
“It’s further alleged that the deceased person, Lerole Pitso, was stabbed with a sharp object during the fight, sustained an open wound on his head and left upper arm, and allegedly was assaulted by his brother (suspect) residing at the same farm,” said Mophiring.
The suspect is currently in custody and is facing murder charges. He is expected to appear at the Warden Magistrate’ Court tomorrow.
