ANC in the Free State will meet with provincial Cosatu leaders concerning health issues affecting the province.
ANC provincial spokesperson Thabo Meeko said they have been in talks with the labour federation for the past few months. He further highlighted that there is still an outstanding meeting to discuss Cosatu’s dissatisfaction regarding the department of health in the province.
Cosatu’s provincial general secretary Monyatso oa Mahlatsi said they will meet with the provincial leadership of the ANC after the labour federation’s health task team held a meeting on Wednesday in Bethlehem. Oa Mahlatsi explained that after the meeting, they realised that they needed intervention of the ANC.
Earlier last week, Cosatu demanded the department of health to terminate Buthelezi Ambulance contract and said implementation of the National Health Insurance pilot project was moving at a snail’s pace.
