Residents across Mangaung are experiencing widespread power disruptions following recent adverse weather conditions that have impacted electricity infrastructure and increased network faults across the city.
Centlec has confirmed that the high volume of weather-related outages is affecting response times, with some repairs taking longer due to damaged infrastructure, increased call volumes, and limited technician availability in the hardest-hit areas.
“We have deployed our teams and equipment in various areas around the city to ensure that power is restored as soon as possible,” said acting spokesperson Tseliso Leba.
