Residents of Mangaung are hereby notified that the pipeline that had resulted in an emergency shutdown in Bloemfontein has been successfully repaired.
The 1200mm prestressed concrete pipeline had burst on the morning of 26 July 2017 at Lieukop junction – the road leading to Dewetsdorp.
No water shortages were reported during the shutdown.
The capacity of reservoirs in the city are currently as follows:
Welbedacht (Brandkop) – 15%
Pellisier – 60%
Longridge – 80%
Arboretum – 50%
All residents are requested to continue using water wisely.
