Three people were shot and killed in an attempted house robbery in Roshnee, Vereenging on Tuesday afternoon at around 12:45.
According to a statement issued by Netcare911 one of those deceased is believed to be the owner of the house (a woman).
The exact detail of what happened will form part of a South African Police Service (SAPS) investigation and comment.
Netcare911 paramedics two women and one man already dead on the scene when they arrived at the house. All three were declared dead at the scene.
Reports from the scene indicate that a female suspect was taken into police custody.
