The pre-selected teams took part in the bonding-day trials held at Grey College on Saturday, 14 June 2014, and at the end of the trials, only one swap apiece from both sides was made.
In the Craven Week side, Grey College’s Stannard is replaced by Jordaan, who was on the bench, at centre. Meanwhile, Jim Fouché’s Spies and Grey’s Rust swapped teams, with the former moving to the Academic team and the latter to the Free State Arende side.
The association has indicated that changes can be expected in leading into the tournaments, due to injuries. The sides will take part in the Craven Week and Academic Week tournaments to be held in Middelburg (Mpumalanga) and Wellington (Western Cape) respectively.
