Suspect in Bhm farm murder heads to court

A suspect who allegedly murdered a 77-year-old woman from Tamboekisbank Farm in Bethlehem in the Free State, is set to appear in court tomorrow (Monday).

The suspect is facing murder and theft charges after the body of Miemie Frost was discovered near Utopia graveyard yesterday. Police spokesperson, Puleng Lebakeng, confirmed to OFM News that the suspect is a former employee at the farm of the deceased where she lived alone.

Lebakeng added that a community member alerted the police when they saw the suspect pouring petrol into the deceased’s vehicle. After his arrest, police learned that the suspect had allegedly hit Frost with a blunt object on the head, early Saturday morning on her farm. According to Lebakeng, the motive behind Frost’s murder is unknown and police are still investigating.
