Job opportunities, the increase of blacks in higher posts and social cohesion to fight racism are but some of the key areas that government will be focusing on in 2017.
This is according to President Jacob Zuma in his message for 2017, the video of which was released through the Presidency’s social media pages.
He says “Jobs remain high on the list of priorities of our people. In this regard, we must continue to promote unity in action to reignite economic growth.”
Zuma also adds that the participation of black managers and managers must increase so that the unity is promoted and also so economic transformation is accelerated as this will greatly “enhance the national reconciliation process”.
Speaking on reconciliation, the President also adds that as part of social cohesion, one of the aims for 2017 will be to fight against racism and all institutions must promote inclusion and non-racialism.
