Small entrepreneurs in Mangaung Metro Municipality are set to grace Mmabana Stadium to attend an event hosted by Lady Boss and Gentle Boss Products. The event will take place on 30 September 2017 and is expected to help develop skills that will accelerate economic growth and development.
“We will pursue an aggressive entrepreneurship drive and create an enabling environment that will make it easy for entrepreneurs, particularly the youth, women and people with disabilities to showcase their variety of products, which range from beauty and skin care made by the local entrepreneurs, clothing designs and decorative home products just to name a few,” said organiser, Oamogetswe Mokobe.
She said her company would intensify its efforts at broadening participation in Mangaung’s economy. “We now have an opportunity to move with speed on the critical question of deracialising the economy and opening up the economy, giving opportunities to those have been historically excluded,” Mokobe said.
She said the event will be a first step in a journey that seeks to market brands from entrepreneurs in Mangaung Metro and to influence change where possible. “I know the quality of the products from the area but I have noticed that not many of my fellow South African’s are familiar with these products or the entrepreneurs’ work, and as such I am trying to get entrepreneurs to offer their products and services at a national level. We are calling on entrepreneurs to join us at Mmabana Stadium in Thaba Nchu.”
Mokobe added that they are expecting more than 50 exhibitors to showcase their businesses. “We are expecting everyone to come to the expo to show their support and encourage local upcoming entrepreneurs. Entrance is free. For more information on how to book a stall, contact Oamogetswe Mokobe on
