Centlec has notified residents that a power supply interruption at Eastyard has resulted in electricity outages across several areas in Mangaung.
The affected areas include:
Westdene, Hospital park, Wilgehof, Generaal de Wet, parts of Fichardt Park, East End, Part of CBD, Oranjesig, Batho and parts of Bochabela, Ehrlichpark, Part of Vistapark, Showgrounds.
“We will provide updates on the estimated restoration time as soon as more information becomes available,” the utility said.
According to Centlec, power may be reinstated without alert during the shutdown period, so residents are urged to treat all installations as live and hazardous.
