Centlec has reported a fault at the De Wet DC on the Vista Park Feeder caused by a broken pole, resulting in an emergency power outage affecting parts of Bloemfontein.
The electricity supply for the following areas has been affected:
Vista Park, Ehrlick Park, and surrounding areas.
“We will provide updates on the estimated restoration time as soon a more information becomes available,” the utility said.
According to Centlec, power may be reinstated without alert during the shutdown period, so residents are urged to treat all installations as live and hazardous.
