The Mangaung Metro Municipality (MMM) has issued a statement notifying residents of a planned water supply interruption that may affect parts of Mangaung due to Eskom’s scheduled maintenance at the Welbedacht Dam.
The maintenance period is scheduled to take place on 22 and 29 October from 06:00 to 18:00. “During the period, the water supply may be intermittently affect as the electricity supply to key water infrastructure will be interrupted for maintenance purposes,” the Metro mentioned.
The following areas are to be affected:
• Bloemfontein (Southern side)
• Dewetsdorp
• Wepener
• Phahameng
• Phelindaba
• Rocklands
• Phases
• Pellissier
• Universitas
• Fauna
• Uitsig
• Vsita Park
• Hamilton Industrial Area
• Phase 4,5,6 and associated areas
MMM encouraged residents to use water sparingly during this period and to store sufficient water in advance for essential use.
