PHOTO GALLERY: EFF concerned about inadequate clinic

The Free State Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) will be sending a report to its national office after it was discovered that residents of Phahameng, Mangaung, are serviced at an inadequate clinic.

This comes after EFF ward councillors visited Mmabana Phahameng Clinic on Monday.

The party reported that they found damage to walls, as well as the ceiling, which caused leakages. There was also flooding in toilets. The EFF’s Baba Sebolao said only two doctors were available at the clinic.

The one works there once a week while the other is there just once monthly. The year 2018 has been marked by the party as the Year for Health Services. Sebolao said the small clinic cannot provide sufficient services for the number of patients in the area…

People were already queuing outside the clinic in the early hours of the morning to ensure that they could get treatment, said Sebolao. Members of the EFF had arrived at 05:30. “We spoke to the manager of the clinic. She indeed explained her frustrations with regards to the whole set-up there because they are understaffed and do not have the necessary equipment to work with,” Sebolao explained.
