No measles outbreak in FS

REFILWE MEKOA

The Free State Department of Health confirmed that there are no reported cases of measles in the province.

The department’s spokesperson Mondli Mvambi said that they have sent an alert to all their health facilities throughout the province and have not recorded any case up to this far. He explained that the department trusts that people of the Free State will continue to be cautious of any suspected cases and should not hesitate to consult their nearest health facilities.

Mvambi stressed that health of the community is a collective responsibility and urged people to stop transferring blame but instead provide assistance to those who are in need.

He said citizens should ensure that their children are vaccinated and their health care needs are well attended to, at all times.
