Nine people, including four children, injured in Bfn accidents over weekend

According to ER24 and Arrive Alive, a total of nine people were reportedly injured in two accidents that took place over the weekend in Heidedal and Wilgehof. Yesterday afternoon, five people, including two children, sustained moderate to serious injuries after five vehicles had collided at the corner of Walter Sisulu and Stals Roads in Bloemfontein. ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly before 15:00. Those injured were transported to hospital for further care.

Meanwhile, on Saturday night, in an accident in Heidedal’s notorious Dr Belcher Road, six people, four of them children, sustained minor injuries after a bakkie and a light motor vehicle had collided. Four people were left injured. ER24 arrived on the scene shortly after 20:00, to find that all of the occupants from the light motor vehicle were seated on the pavement. The driver of the bakkie sustained no injuries.  ER24 as well as another medical service that was on the scene, transported the injured patients to hospital for further medical care. ER24 says that the exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known and will form part of police investigations.
